More than 500 of the state’s top surf lifesavers will be in Black Head this December, after it was chosen to host the Interbranch Championships.
Each of the 11 branches in New South Wales will be sending a representative team of 52 athletes.
Current champions Sydney Northern Beaches are hoping to defend their title.
The two-day championships will begin with individual events followed by team and boating competitions.
The best performing athletes will be chosen for the state team, which will be announced at the end of the event.
