LENNOX HEAD BATTLE ALSTONVILLE-WOLLONGBAR AGAIN

Two top runners in the Far North Coast Rugby meet again this week for the second time.
Lennox came out winner last week snatching the Minor Premiership and have high hopes they can do it again this weekend.
Lennox Head took out the final round of the comp last week so they’re going hard again this week to show Wollongbar again who’s boss.
Coach Tony Bundock says while they won, there are still some things the team needs to work on.
“We played well in the first half then we ran with the wind and didn’t seem to go as well with the wind. We managed to hang on and Wollongbar probably stuck to their guns a little better than we did, they played a better second half than we did but we were able to pile some points on in the first half which was important.”
Lennox are happy to have come away with the minor premiership after having lots of players out during the season.
“I’ts always good to get that, we worked hard all year to get that and had a few losses that were unexpected. We had a few guys out for rep duties during the season but it was good to get that we weren’t too sure until the end of the game but yeh we managed to clinch it by three or four points.”
The win for them now means they are guarunteed a place in the Grand Final and scored themselves the home ground advantage in this weeks semi-final.
The game will be played at Williams Reseve on Sunday, Time is yet to be confirmed
