The Tuncurry-Forster Jockey Club has been selected to host the Melbourne Cup’s iconic gold trophy next month.
The club is one of five towns in country New South Wales to be part of the tour.
“Everyone was overwhelmed you know, to the point where you really can’t believe it, you think someone’s pulling your leg.”
The Cup will make its appearance at the club’s Ladies’ Day on July 16.
