POLICE ARREST MAN IN MANGROVES ALONGSIDE TORONTO CREEK

Police were forced to borrow a boat to assist them in the arrest of a man in Lake Macquarie on Monday afternoon.
Officers caught up with the 22-year-old on the banks of Stony Creek at Toronto, after he attempted to camouflage himself in mangroves.
It’s alleged he’d earlier ransacked a home on nearby Anzac Parade, dropping items as he ran from the property.
Following his arrest, he was taken to Toronto Police Station where he was charged.
He’s due back in court later today.
