A former Tamworth Council director has been named chairman of Destination Country.
Stephen Bartlett will head the newly formed group, which has been tasked with improving regional economies across the state.
Mr Bartlett has more than 35 years experience in local government, and was a driving force behind the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
