Central Coast boardrider Macy Callaghan came up short today at the Surf Series Pro Junior at Avoca Beach.
Callaghan was knocked out in the quarter-finals, as was fellow local Kirrabelle Olsen in the semis.
Tweed surfer Kobie Enright ended up claiming the title.
There were no Central Coast surfers in the men’s decider either, with Sandon Whittaker dipping out in the semis.
North Stradbroke Island’s Ethan Ewing grabbed a wave in the final seconds to win.
