BLAZE DESTROYS CARDIFF BUSINESS

Around a dozen residents were forced to evacuate their homes in Cardiff last night, following a fire which destroyed a local business.

Authorities were called to the industrial estate on Sturt Street just before 7’o’clock, following reports of explosions.

Around 50 firefighters battled for more than five hours to extinguish the blaze.

A 100-metre exclusion zone was set up around the site due to fears the fire could ignite LPG canisters.

All train services through the nearby rail line were suspended until the blaze was brought under control.

Detectives are still investigating the cause.

HOUSE FIRE AT SWANSEA
Meanwhile, firefighters were also kept busy at a house fire in Swansea last night.

Emergency crews were alerted to the blaze at around 6:15pm.

The house and garage were severely damaged.
