WILL THE MAN WHO FLEW FROM BALLINA TO SYDNEY FACE CHARGES?

Police are investigating whether a man breached a public health order – after flying from Sydney to Ballina, while infected with COVID-19.
If so, he may be issued a $1,000 fine, or face court.
That could result in six months jail or a steeper $11,000 penalty.
The local health district has confirmed there were 45 passengers on the affected Virgin flight, who are now in 14 days self-isolation.
The Northern Rivers has not had a local case since April.
