Two arrests have been made in the New England region as part of Operation Pariac.
The police initiative- targeting licensed premises and alcohol related crime- began this weekend and will continue throughout the summer.
“Hot spotting licensed premises and areas around licensed premises and conducting walk throughs of hotels and actually checking that the licensees were complying with their liquor licenses,” Sergeant John Walkowiak, New England LAC.
Police say during the first weekend of the operation, improper signage, trading outside of hours and serving highly intoxicated patrons were prominent across the region.
“It’s coming up to our busy time over Christmas and New Year and we certainly continue with this operation and targeting licensed premises,” Sergeant John Walkowiak, New England LAC.
