The University of New England has contacted the Australian Human Rights Commission, to review sexual assaults and harassment at the university’s residential colleges.
It comes after a shocking report into Australian universities last year revealed 1 in 2 UNE students had been sexually harassed in some way.
Vice Chancellor Professor Annabelle Duncan says the review will help the university better understand the culture in each college and where changes can be made.
