HARRIS FARM COULD BE COMING TO DARBY STREET

The Newcastle suburb of Cooks Hill is likely to score a new farmers market produce outlet.

The independent Harris Farms group is believed to have its sights on the former Essential Ingredient and Auto One complex on Darby Street.

The family owned business has more than 20 outlets around the state and prides itself on sourcing local produce and supporting local growers.

A development application is yet to be lodged with council but the company is aiming to open early next year.
