MORE INFORMATION ABOUT INVERELL HIT AND RUN

Police are re-appealing for information after a pedestrian was fatally hit by a car, which failed to stop, in Inverell earlier this month.

A 60-year-old man was walking along Cameron Street at around 10.45pm on March 5 when an older-model, white-coloured sedan collided with him.

Police believe the car that failed to stop and drove from the scene is described as similar to a white coloured older model Toyota Camry sedan.

The car is believed to have left the Inverell Showground immediately prior to the crash. The man driving the car was wearing an akubra style hat.

Police are reappealing for the driver of the vehicle, as well as any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police, to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
