A woman has died from injuries sustained in a head-on crash at Nimbin yesterday afternoon.
Two cars collided on Nimbin Road shortly after five, trapping the 49-year-old for two hours.
She was airlifted to the Gold Coast University Hospital, where she later died.
The other driver, a 42-year-old man, was taken to Lismore Base Hospital for a head injury.
Police are asking for any witnesses to come forward.
