$81,000 BOOST TO WEED AND PEST CONTROL

The ongoing battle against weeds and pests in the Northern Rivers has been given a massive boost, with the New South Wales Government allocating $81,000 in funding.
11 programs in the Lismore, Clarence, Tweed and Ballina electorates will benefit, in a bid to protect and enhance communities of threatened native plants and animals.
Pests including toads and foxes are being targeted, as well as weeds like lantana and camphor laurel.
