LISMORE COUNCIL CONDEMNS SLASHING OF SOLAR FEED-IN TARIFF

Lismore City Council is getting behind local solar power companies calling on the state government to increase the solar power tariff.

In October, the feed-in tariff was slashed from 60 cents per kilowat to 20, causing a major drop in local solar panel demand.

” 2480 is the leading postcode on the installation of solar panels and yet this has meant there will be job losses and jobs going over the border to Queensland”

Lismore Council will send a letter to the Premier and the State Opposition calling for a more reasonable tariff of 45 cents.
