Facing bankruptcy, the Helensvale Golf Club is planning to sue the Council for up to $10-million over a blocked drain that floods the course whenever it rains heavily.
Almost 300 people turned out to a meeting last night, demanding answers from all levels of Government.

A solution to the problem is essential! Resorting to expensive legal processes is symptomatic of failures all around to date and it will only delay and frustrate residents further. Come on is it that hard to fix the problem now?
Lack of action will just see the Golf course turn into an open storm water drain that will continue to silt up and create further problems, how short sighted is the council and how much more money will it cost to set right, if they can buy tiplers restort and its a mess then they need to pull their finger and start looking at water management and infastucture in the area. lets not lose this marvellous public amenity.
