Port Macquarie has secured another major sporting event, the 2012 Women’s State Lawn Bowls carnival.
It will be the second year in a row that Port has hosted the event which attracts around 1,300 bowlers.
Organisers of the event said the success of this year’s carnival was a big factor in their decision to return to the Hastings.
The five-day carnival starts in late May and will once again make use of bowling greens at clubs in Port Macquarie, Wauchope and the Camden Haven.
