COUNCIL VOTES TO SAND BAG KINGSCLIFF BEACH

The Kingscliff erosion crisis was at the top of Tweed Shire Council’s agenda last night.

Councillors voted to immediately spend $255,000 on temporary mitigation works in front of the crippled holiday park.

  1. This is the worst decision I have ever heard of!

    How many millions on sand banks are they going to spend when its been proven it doesnt work! Water will just wash around it and pull it down.

    The council needs to invest in a solid structure that will last. I dont believe Australia is the firest country in the world to be effected by beach erosion.

    Why have they not looked at long term solutions from countries that have dealt with this type of thing ie: South Africa and America

    Another waist of money!
