Meantime, Byron Council is asking residents to take part in an online transport survey so it can determine how people use public transport in the region.
The data will be used to put a case to the department of transport, for better public transport options and services.
“There’s a general agreement that there’s a lack of public transport options, but where people want to go, and how often they want to do it and how much they are willing to pay for it we just don’t know.”
The survey is open until August 31st.
