THREE MORE HORSES DIE ON THE NORTH COAST FROM HENDRA

Just 24 hours after news broke of the the sixth Hendra death this year in New South Wales,
three more horses have died on properties in the north of the state.
Two of the horses were from the same property in South Ballina, the other from Mullumbimby.
“It is surprising to get three cases so quickly. We’ve had 7 properties now with Hendra, we basically had four over a month.”
Companion horses on the affected properties are now under quarantine and will be tested.
The latest deaths bring the state’s Hendra death toll to nine.
Five north coast properties are under quarantine.
