The Westpac Rescue Helicopter will have the best seat in the house as it flies into Coff’s Harbour for its role as the official World Rally Championship Rescue Chopper.
An experienced team of pilots and medical staff will journey down south each day just in case they’re needed on the track.
“It is very important as you can understand. It’s quite a high risk sport and they need a world class medical helicopter such as ours to be on call.”
The service cost’s $6.5 million a year to run and is still collecting donations as part of its annual appeal.
