Ballina Shire Council is encouraging commuters to ditch the car
for some pedal power this week to support New South Wales Bike Week.
The campaign aims to encourage the community to trial a low cost, healthy and more sustainable form of transport.
For a kick start, a series of rides will be held across the Northern Rivers this week to promote the healthy transport message.
Bike week runs from the 17th to the 25th of september.
