SHIFTING BORDER TIME LINE COULD BE ANSWER TO AGE OLD DEBATE
A local politician’s calling for the border time line to be shifted south, so that Tweed Heads works on Queensland time during daylight saving.
It’s one of the suggestions that will be put forward when the cross border commissioner is appointed to tackle the issue.

Can you move time lines without a referendum?
If so, move the time line north not south. Day light saving should incorporate most of the Gold Coast, from the Theme Parks in Coomera to Coolangatta. Better still move the time line to Noosaville. The Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and the Gold Coast can move forward with the Eastern States whilst the remainder of Queensland remains in Joh Bjelke time.
