Byron Bay residents hoping to stop liquor giant Dan Murphys from setting up shop in the CBD have until Friday to submit their concerns to the New South Wales Office of Liquor and Gaming.
Byron youth workers are worried the discount liquor outlet could lead to further alcohol related violence in the town.
The bottle shop has been proposed for a site opposite the town’s cinema, which is a popular gathering place for youths.
