From December there will be more police on the beat across the north coast.
Acting New South Wales Premier Andrew Stoner today confirmed police numbers will be ramped in time for Christmas.
“At this stage I can’t give an exact number of police but I do know that the Coffs/ Clarence and Richmond Local area Command will receive a significant boost in their numbers.”
The injection is the result of a state government police audit into resources and numbers at commands across New South Wales.
“It’ll make their job a lot easier and it will make it more pleasant to go to work and make the community feel a lot safer.”
