It’s the news motorists have been waiting for.
Stage two of the Ballina Bypass from the Teven Road intersection to Cumbalum will open next Tuesday, eight days ahead of schedule.
The new section will include the much anticipated town bypass, which will relieve Ballina of Pacific Highway through-traffic.
A community celebration day will be held this Sunday at the Teven Road bridges.
The final stage of the $640-million project is expected to be completed by early next year.
