A man has died following a head-on crash near Lismore.
The 50-year-old’s ute collided with a truck on the Pacific Highway, north of Woodburn, just after 1:30pm.
“It appears that there’s been a collision between a southbound utility and a north bound truck which has resulted in the ute then colliding with the guard rail and the guardrail has caused extensive injuries to the patient.”
The other male driver escaped uninjured, but was taken to Ballina Hospital for mandatory drug and alcohol testing.
