WOMAN INVOLVED IN ROBBERY OF MURDERED GOLD COAST MAN AVOIDS FURTHER JAIL TIME

A woman involved in the murder of Gold Coast man Saaid Zaiter at Chinderah in 2008 has avoided additional jail time.

Jessica Birkensleigh faced Lismore Supreme Court today.

The 25-year-old was sentenced to 18-months jail for being an accessory before the fact to robbery, but given time already served she was allowed to walk free.

“the judged has let you go. How are you feeling? No comment”

Birkensleigh was earlier found guilty of buying the zip ties and tape which her then boyfriend, Rodney White used to restrain and gag Mr Zaiter during a drug robbery at the Chinderah Caravan Park.

It’s there Mr Zaiter was brutally bashed by White, who was found guilty of his murder earlier this week.

White will be sentenced in June.
