Richmond Police are stepping up patrols of local pharmacies after two attempted robberies in as many weeks.
The Soul Pattison Chemist at Goonellabah Shopping Village was broken into on Sunday night.
Police say the thieves slipped in through the roof but were scared off by the alarm.
It’s alleged they returned later and unsuccessfully tried to break into the safe.
Just last week the Soul Pattison at Kyogle was also targeted.
