ADAM GILCHRIST HAS A CUPPA FOR CHARITY

Lismore’s favourite son, Adam Gilchrist is back in town, minus the bat and ball.
The former Australian test cricketer attended the Lord’s Taverner’s charity breakfast this morning – to help raise funds for disadvantaged kids looking to engage in sports.
“I’m from this region, I love cricket and am more than interested in trying to raise funds for anyone with any disadvantage so it all gelled nicely.”
Adam Gilchrist wasn’t the only big name drumming up support for the charity.
A slightly star struck, journalist Kerry O’Brien, also made an appearance.
“It’s hard to say no to anything involving disadvantaged kids but its also hard if you’ve followed cricket all your life to say no to the opportunity of sharing the stage with Adam Gilchrist.”
The breakfast raised around $15,000.
