New regulations for dumping asbestos at Byron Shire’s Myocum tip have come into effect.
Asbestos will now only be accepted on certain days and times, and 24-hours notice must be given for each load.
Council says the changes are to ensure the dangerous substance is disposed of in a safe manner.
