BEACHES CLOSED TO TWO BYRON SURF SCHOOL OPERATORS

The owners of two long standing Byron Bay surf schools are calling for a full review into council’s tendering process after their licences to operate weren’t renewed.
The surf schools have accused Byron Shire of rejecting their applications in favour of operators who will pay council more money.
Seems to me its not what you know but who you know when it comes to dealing with councils….If tendering processess weren’t filled with so much mumbo jumbo maybe the “little fellow”out there would stand a chance…Where is local community loyalty on the part of council to those who have given good service to the community for years…Wake up council and give fair and equal consideration not based on how much financial gain council might get…
