It was a bitter sweet celebration for the Northern Rivers,
Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter yesterday, as it flew it’s 7000th mission.
The milestone comes just one month out of the services 30th birthday, and has prompted renewed calls to help the charity organisation.
“There’s an expectation that we’re always there, but it is a service you can’t take for granted and we do need that funding all the time and it is a tough task at the moment to raise the necessary funds.”
