Life Guards were forced to close beaches in Byron today, after four large sharks were spotted swimming in the bay.
Wategoes, The Pass, Main Beach and The Wreck were all shut – while life guards performed patrols on jet ski’s.
Beaches remain closed overnight, and will be reassessed tomorrow.
