It is absolutely disgusting that the NSW government is using police to force entry into local communities for CSG companies against the wishes of the community.
They keep talking about the safety of the workers but never acknowledge the risks to the safety of communities and community members from this industry.
I agree with Michael @ 7:25pm. The impacts of CSG on our water table, our farming land, on the climate and on human health at a time when renewable energy sources are emerging as cheaper and far less dangerous to all the above makes this an inexcusable activity.
People should have the right to say whether they want this – or not – in their communities without having their own government services, paid for by their own taxes, pitted against them.
Shame on Martin Ferguson MP. Shame on Barry O’Farrell and his government. Shame on Metgasco. This bullying for such destructive ends is unacceptable.
