A man is being treated for serious head injuries in Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital, after he was allegedly bashed during a home invasion in Coffs Harbour overnight.
Police say a group of men broke into a residence on Cook Drive around 11pm, and struck the 41-year-old man over the head with a weapon while he was sleeping.
His 27-year-old partner and 18-year-old son also suffered minor injuries during the attack.
Police want to hear from anyone with information.
