The bumpy ride on the worst of Lismore’s pothole plagued roads will continue, at least for the near future.
In a controversial move council has decided to spend less money repairing the shire’s most damaged roads in favour of speeding up maintenance on those still in a reasonable condition.
By sealing and maintaining the less damaged sections, council hopes to win the war on potholes by preventing some roads from further deterioration.
