There was traffic chaos on the Pacific Highway south of Bangalow this morning, after two trucks collided at Newrybar.
The incident happened just before dawn, when a northbound B-Double crossed onto the wrong side of the road and into the path of a southbound truck.
“The second vehicle has actually left the highway and has partially gone over an embankment – the B-double itself has continued on for another 100 metres or so and collided with railing.”
Neither driver was seriously injured in the collision.
“We don’t believe it was fatigue or weather related.”
