LITTLE WINGS FLYING FROM LISMORE

An angel flight landed in Lismore this afternoon to ferry some very precious cargo down south.
Three-year-old Emily Kirkland became the first patient to be transferred from Lismore to Sydney by the charity, Little Wings – a service connecting sick regional children to the big cities for specialist medical treatment.
“Huge difference cost wise as well it’s all free of charge so it’s not costing us a cent so it’s a huge benefit.”
But to keep the free service operating from Lismore, Little Wings needs a helping hand of its own.
The charity is now calling for donations.
“It’s 100% volunteer the pilots volunteer, they volunteer the plane as well.”
