DRIVER ALLEGEDLY POSTS BREATH ALCOHOL READING OF .306

A man will face court after allegedly posting a breath alcohol reading of more than six times the legal limit on the Gold Coast.
Police say the man was driving his 4WD on Aegean Street in Waterford West around 10 o’clock yesterday morning, when he allegedly drove into a parked car.
He then continued to drive along Hadlow Street, before allegedly crashing into a tree at the intersection with Short Street.
A bystander stepped in and removed the keys from the vehicle.
A 34-year-old Ormeau man has sinced been charged with one count of driving under the influence of liquor with a reading of .306
He is expected to appear at the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on August 18.
