Police are still investigating the cause of a fire which gutted a house in Casino this morning.
Fire and rescue crews were called to the Johnson Street home shortly after 7 o’clock.
It took half an hour to contain the blaze, which was at high risk of spreading in the old wooden home.
A male occupant, who was home alone at the time of the fire, was taken to Lismore Base Hospital as a precaution.
