Former Lismore councillor and well known sporting advocate Reg Baxter has passed away at the age of 89, after a long illness.
Mr Baxter served Lismore City Council for over a decade and was instrumental in the redevelopment of the town’s memorial baths.
He was a life member of the Far North Coast Cricket Council, and Far North Coast Baseball, which has dedicated a field in his honour.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday at Lismore’s St Andrew’s Anglican Church.
