Two days into the patrol season, and a host of children have taken on some life saving skills, as part of Ballina Lighthouse and Lismore surf club’s open day.
CPR scenarios proved a hit with the youngsters.
“What’s your name? Jasmine. Are you alright Jasmine? Not really, OK.”
“The general public get a bit of and idea of the things we do with the kids, so it’s good for the non-nippers to see that and also that parents.”
And many liked what they saw, signing up to become members.
