Protesters at Byron Bay today took aim at what they claim is a national campaign of “fear-mongering” by the Abbott Government.
The new national security laws were the main focus, and their possible implications for press freedom.
“I want more visibility, I want them to be more open about what they are doing, for example what is the SAS doing in Afghanistan, they’ve been there thirteen years now.”
The rally saw locals express their concerns through various platforms, including poetry, music and performance.
