The Newcastle Jets today took another positive step in the post-Tinkler era, with Beechwood Homes signing on as major sponsor for next season.
The building company’s logo will appear on the front of the club’s jersey.
Meanwhile, at last night’s members forum, recruitment and retention of players was the hot topic.
“You go back to the years where we were successful , the year we won the premiership, you got big crowds, community involvement, why? Not because we were full of locals, but because we were winning.”
Community engagement was also discussed, with A-League boss Damien de Bohun assuring those in attendance that Jets players will be among the busiest in the comp.
