Richmond Valley Council is considering buying the Casino Drill Hall, and transforming it into a military museum. The council has been negotiating with the Commonwealth in order to buy the hall, so it remains an asset for the community. It follow months of outrage from community groups after the Australian Defence Force announced it wanted to sell the hall.
