It’s been revealed Lifeline Newcastle and Hunter have been the target of a string of robberies in the past few days.
The charity has seen six robberies in four days at their Newcastle-based locations.
While the thieves weren’t able to steal anything of value, CEO Kay Chapman says the robberies have a lasting impact on the charity.
“It is very disappointing that there are those in the community that have no respect for anything or anybody. It was devastating to come into work and find our premises trashed but we have been heartened by the wonderful support that we have received during this difficult time.”
