Two people onboard a small aircraft have had a lucky escape on Friday afternoon, after the plane overshot the runway at Lismore airport.
It’s believed the aircraft got into trouble soon after landing, stopping just short of a busy local road.
The airport was closed, with all Lismore-bound Rex flights diverted to Ballina airport
Thankfully, no one was injured.
