Metgasco has announced it will begin seismic testing in the Northern Rivers in late November.
The process is expected to take four days, and will be conducted by Terrex Seismic.
Metgasco also announced that its negotiations with a drilling contractor for the Rosella well at Bentley are almost complete.
A Spokesperson from Bentley Gatekeepers says the announcements have been met with renewed determination and commitment to protect the area.
