Hundreds of people from across the North West will meet in Narrabri tomorrow afternoon to celebrate remaining gasfield free for another year.
The group also wants to demonstrate its strong opposition to Santos’ Narrabri Gas Project.
A number of protests have been staged since the company set its eyes on the Pilliga Forest, but Santos insists the $2 billion project is vital for the state’s energy future.
About 400 people are expected to attend.
